Indus Script Deciphered
by brahmacharini Dr. Sneh Rani Jain
of Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India
This Glossary was uniquely composed for Indus Script Deciphered (ISD) is a unique study of the ancients scripts or Harappa, Mohenjo-daro and many other places, interpreted from a Jain point of view. As (Digambara) Jainism has its own terminology which can not properly be understood by outsiders, we have tried to explain every Sanskrit, Prakrit or Hindi term as used in jainism and a number of concepts crucial to understand Digambara Jainism in this little Kosh or Glossary. The terms are given in internationally used Sanskrit transliteration, and between brckets also in various ‘non-official’ common ways of writing. Links in the text if ISD connect directly to the right entries in this Glossary, but can of course also be studied independently. The text itself will be published in 32 short issues, and later be merged.
